Learning Delivery Model
back to topemail to a friendprint this page

Our curriculum is based on our three rooms of instruction. The WILL™ method is unique in its practical recognition of different learning styles.

By interweaving three different learning styles, we provide English learners with strong instruction presented in three different modes. This plays to the varying strengths of our students, allowing all of our students to experience language learning success every day. The result is a learning environment where learners feel more comfortable and more confident – and the result is students who will be better communicators.

Our delivery model can be seen in this example of a student’s experience during a single three-hour lesson:

The Listening Lab
During the “Listen” hour, learners engage in individual listening practice to strengthen their understanding of English. The learning environment is casual and comfortable and so best allows learners to focus on developing their listening and comprehension skills. The emphasis here is to reinforce the grammar, vocabulary and structure learnt in the “Write” lesson.

The Conversation Lounge
In the “Interact” hour of their lesson, learners enter the conversation lounge, a place where learners are required to interact with each other. Our approach is to create a relaxed learning environment which stimulates learners to “open up” and become confident in speaking English. We promote fluency by having learners practice both listening and pronunciation by engaging in a various enjoyable activities such as choral drills, controlled role plays, directed readings, story telling, language games, presentations, movie screenings, reviews, discussions and more.

The Classroom
The “Write” lesson most closely resembles the activities of a typical modern language class. The essentials of English grammar and vocabulary are taught. The teacher checks written assignments, revises critical material and then proceeds to new topics. Our teacher will be a motivator and will work with the materials at hand to achieve achieve better learning outcomes.

Situational Practice
Our students are not constrained within the school premises during lessons. They will also move into “situational practice”. Students will make field trips to the “real world”, to places such as food outlets, post offices, museums and libraries, and practice what they have learnt through the WILL™ method. Practice will create familiarity and enhance confidence in the learning of a new language. Our teachers will be present so that students will be more confident and will be able to receive appropriate comments from the teachers for rapid improvement

Teachers
back to topemail to a friendprint this page

We ensure that our Teachers are Academically Qualified and Highly Experienced. To teach in our WILL English Program, teachers should possess:

  • bachelor’s degree qualification or above;
  • qualification in TESOL or equivalent;
  • knowledge of IELTS requirements;
  • extensive experience in teaching English and in the preparation of teaching resources;

In addition to these requirements, we look for teachers who are enthusiastic, motivational and fun-loving! We firmly believe that teachers must be able to make learning enjoyable in order to impart English skills effectively.

Our teachers are carefully screened and appointed by our Academic Director through a rigorous selection process which includes background assessment, interviews and a teaching demonstration.

Of the many teaching applications which we receive continually, only 40% of applicants are selected for interviews and eventually less than 10% are accepted as our teachers.

Our efforts in getting good English teachers are relentless. We want only the best!

We ensure that our Program is of the Highest Possible Standard

We understand that our program and course materials will not remain perfect. Based both on evolving trends in English learning as well as on feedback from our teachers and students, we are committed to upgrading and renewing our course syllabus, curriculum and course materials. We want our students to gain the most from learning with us!
